What a way to start March with the Hina Festival! Today we wish for every young girl’s happiness and prosperity in life. The festival is celebrated by displaying Hina Ningyo (雛人形). When a newborn girl is added to the family, parents or grandparents would buy a set of Hina Ningyo, or their own set is passed down. The kids had the opportunity to make their own Hina Matsuri Wreath that they enjoyed making. They had the chance to pick colors, glue the parts and arrange them according to their liking. The kids were excited to finish the activity as they would be giving it to their parents. The wreath was then displayed in their homes to celebrate the holiday.
